• Research Assistant : Development of the Adaptive Radar Calibration System for the National Rivers Authority (NRA) (4/1991 to 5/1994)
• Part-time builder : Reconstruction of a slate roof (6/1994 to 12/1994)
• Research Assistant : Implementation of the ARC System on-line for the NRA (1/1995 - 4/1996)
• Part-time builder : Reconstruction of a loft and ceiling
• Research Assistant : Traffic research using the FLEXSYT-II traffic signal control language. (10/1996 - 3/1997)
• Research Assistant : Further research on spatio-temporal issues including the radar calibration problem. (4/1997 to 3/1999)
• PhD thesis entitled "An improved adaptive calibration system for weather radar" submitted, July 1998.
• PhD awarded, December 1998.
• Design and installation of a domestic heating system incorporating solar and renewable energy sources.
