Workshop on advanced motorway traffic control

Accomodation

Participants are expected to make their own arrangements for accommodation if required. The following information may be of help. Since the workshop is being held close to the Christmas holidays, please book as soon as possible. It is hoped that U.K. participants will be able to make a day trip for the event if they so wish.

We recommend that authors and participants travelling from abroad stay at Lancaster House Hotel. This 4 star hotel adjoins the university campus. A room normally costs £94 per night, however, we have arranged a group booking for £75 per night. The Thursday night before the workshop is particularly busy and so all bookings should be made by October 25th at the latest.

An alternative hotel near Lancaster city centre (approximately 2 miles from the university), is the Royal Kings Arms. A single room costs approximately £55 per night, a double room £60.

Participants with a car may wish to stay at Thurnham Mill hotel, which is located a few miles out of Lancaster. A single room costs approximately £40 per night, a double room £50.
